How do you react when you see someone at the intersection holding a cardboard sign asking for help? Who do you consider poor? Pastor Steve Newman guides us through what Gods word says about the Poor. How we treat the poor says a lot about our view of God, and Gods view of people.
This weekend we begin a new series called Authentic. It's about what it looks like to be an authentic Christian, to live like an authentic Christian. Practical living for today that is still authentic to Christ, Gods word, and the design he has for our life. This study is based on the book of James, so jump in with us and lets work through what it means to be authentic in the tough times.
This week we continue our We The Church series. We are focusing on the Body of Christ. This is an illustration of the diversity of the Church, and the unique nature we all bring to the church. Everyone has a gift to be used and everyone has value they bring to the whole Body of Christ. BTW, everyone has something special to bring to the discussion in your groups. So don't hold back jump into the conversation.
This week we see the church compared to the temple. The temple was Gods house, his place of residence, or where we could find his presence. We will see as we study this week that Gods presence can't be limited to a simple building, but His presence in our lives is one of the things we need most desperately. His presence allows us to be present for those who are lost and hurting in our world. Enjoy your discussion.
