This week we begin a new series called "From Here to There." It's about how we can move forward in our lives, and it all begins with the real power to move from here to there, Jesus. In the next few weeks we will explore moving from Doubt to Faith, from Anxiety to Peace, from Distracted to Focused, and from Selfish to Compassionate. This is a great series to invite friends to and I hope you will enjoy discussing these topics with your community groups.
For the Next Two weeks we will be in a series at church called Faith @ Home. Pastor Glen and I will be preaching about leading families with intentionality towards Jesus. Kids growing up today have an unprecedented number of distractions and competition for their hearts. Now more than ever they need godly parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Families need to have a plan to instill values and a heart for God. The family is still the greatest place of spiritual impact in our world. We will be using Right Now Media for our community groups teaching over the next two weeks. You can stream to your computer or TV using a streaming device like Apple TV, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV stick. You can find this weeks message here (https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Content/Series/286?episode=1) or search for "Faith it starts at home" If your group has the 35 minutes for the whole episode watch it all. If you have limited time, I suggest you start the video at (12:29) and watch until (27:46) roughly 15 minutes of biblical teaching and then discuss. For week two (https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Content/Series/286?episode=2) start the video at 3:30 for a 16 minute discussion that ends at 19:45. Discussion guide PDF's are available below. If you have any questions or need some technical help feel free to call or text me.
Sometimes people go looking for a savior at Church. Spiritual leaders are all broken saviors too. As we finish our broken saviors series we are going to look at the Priest Eli and his scoundrel sons. These are some very broken saviors and by then end one of them will literally be broken (neck). We will see how Samuel turns the people back to God alone.
