Celebrate Recovery

Welcome to Celebrate Recovery at First. We're here to help people find freedom from hurts, habits and hang-ups including addictions, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. We are believers in Jesus Christ, who recognize the struggle with the chaos in our lives. Through Celebrate Recovery we are accessing Christ's power in our lives to overcome our issues of anger, shame, grief, alcoholism, guilt, financial loss, divorce, sexual abuse, dysfunctional families, drug abuse, sexual addictions, eating disorders, and any other issue you may be struggling with!

Join us for praise and worship, teaching and testimonies, small groups and fellowship.

What is Recovery?

In physical health, recovery refers to the process of moving from illness to wellness. Our hurts, habits and hang-ups are like an illness, and using the tools of Celebrate Recovery we begin to move toward wholeness. Some might say from bondage to freedom in Christ. Others might say from self-reliance to faith in Christ.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your  spiritual act of worship."

      ROMANS 12:1

Is Celebrate Recovery Right for Me?

  • Do I have trouble setting limits for myself?

  • Do I sacrifice my identity, desires or needs to make others feel good about themselves or to keep the peace?

  • Do I raise my voice in order to get my own way?

  • Do I act kindly on the outside, but feel bitter on the inside?

  • Do I struggle feeling safe when I'm not in control?

  • Do I live with someone who abuses me physically, sexually, or emotionally, or feel the continued effects from past traumas and abuse?

  • Do I struggle with my body image?

  • Do I use food, sex/pornography, relationships, alcohol, or drugs to cope with life's problems?

  • Do I love someone struggling with destructive behaviors, such as alcohol, pornography, or drugs?
